Tips on Oil Changes

1. The Cleaner The Better
A clean smooth running engine requires regular oil changes. Dirty oil causes increased friction and wear of engine components. As a rule of thumb it is important to remember that the cleaner the oil the better.
2. Quicker Does Not Mean Better!
When oil and oil filters are changed it is important to allow time for all of the oil to drain out of the bottom of the oil pan. Quick and dirty jobs are just that, quick and dirty.
3. When Your Change Your Oil Change Your Filter Too!
Changing the oil without changing the oil filter defeats the purpose of an oil change entirely. Dirty oil is trapped in a dirty filter and will be released into the clean oil as soon as the engine is started.
